Judy earned a bachelor’s degree in music education, with an emphasis on choral music, from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, and was awarded a Dean’s scholarship for her graduate work in music education at the same institution.  Judy is a Professor Emerita of music from Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, Indiana, and was executive director of the Northwest Indiana Symphony for six years following retirement from academia.  Currently, she is Director of Music at the First United Methodist Church, Griffith, Indiana.
